“Family matters can turn your life upside down at moment’s notice. I am here to slow down the process for you, listen to your story effectively, and lead you in the best direction. Everyone’s story deserves to be told.”
Aaron J. Larson was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio and graduated high school from New Philadelphia High School where he played competitive golf. He attended The Ohio State University as an undergraduate where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. While in undergrad, Aaron published and defended his thesis named “Playing with Fire: The Medieval Judicial Ordeals and their Downfall.” Aaron then attended The Ohio State University – Moritz College of Law, graduating with his J.D. in May 2024.
At The Ohio State University – Moritz College of Law, Aaron held various legal positions including working at the Franklin County Public Defender – Juvenile Division; the Office of Research at The Ohio State University; and the Ohio Department of Taxation. Aaron also had the pleasure of acting as a Researcher for Professor Kimberly Jordan where he engaged in a variety of research and writing relating to the Ohio Rules of Criminal Procedure and Ohio OVI law, in general.
Through these positions Aaron was able to grow and expand his legal knowledge, as well as learn the issues affecting everyday members of society.
Aaron is a recent addition to Petroff, Smitherman & Associates, LLC, and is most excited about getting to work with clients on the various family law related issues that are affecting their lives. Through his life thus far Aaron has enjoyed being able to assist those people who need it, and he strives to continue that in his legal work.
Aaron lives in Grandview, Ohio with his cat, Val. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing video games, enjoying the outdoors, and trying new local breweries.
